Dr. Hala Salaam Maksoud was noted not only for her outstanding leadership skills and keen intellect, but also for her abilities as a communicator. Her speeches, lectures, articles and commentary were exemplary and served as another major element of her contributions to the Arab-American community and the causes in which she believed. Those who worked with her were constantly amazed at her almost unique ability to converse with and be at ease with people from all strata of society and her ability to be at home in the most rarified society gathering as well as the humblest immigrant coffee shopd. Hala’s words are an important part of her legacy and here Foundation presents a small sample of them in the Hala archive.
