Governor John Sununu

Former White House Chief of Staff and New Hampshire Governor. Governor Sununu served three terms as the Governor of New Hampshire, from 1983-89. During his tenure he also served as chairman of the Coalition of Northeastern Governors and the Republican Governors Association. In 1987 he was elected chairman of the National Governors Association. In 1989 Sununu was appointed Chief of Staff to the President (George H.W. Bush) and served in the White House until March 1992. From 1992-98, Sununu co-hosted CNN’s “Crossfire” program, a news/public affairs discussion program. He is a former partner in Trinity International Partners, a private financial firm, and currently serves as President of JHS Associates, Ltd.

Governor Sununu has lectured our trainees on what Arab Americans must do to become politically empowered in the United States.

William J. Farah

Mr. Farah is a partner with the law firm of Oldaker, Biden & Belair, where he represents clients on the campaign finance, anti-corruption, lobbying and government ethics laws. His clients include Fortune 500 companies, trade associations, unions, PACs, campaign organizations and other tax-exempt entities engaged in legislative and political affairs. Mr. Farah regularly represents clients before the Federal Election Commission, the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, the Congressional Ethics Committees, the Department of Justice and State, municipal and local election, lobbying and ethics authorities. He has represented several nominees for cabinet, ambassadorial and other senior executive branch positions, as well as clients involved in congressional oversight and agency investigative proceedings. Mr. Farah is an adjunct law professor at George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C., where he teaches a course on lobbying and the laws governing legislative and campaign activities. Prior to joining Oldaker, Biden & Belair, he was an attorney with the law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, where he had principal responsibility for that firm’s Political Law practice.Mr. Farah received his J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law in 1989, graduating with honors and serving on the law review.
